Provenience
Situated near the town of Fumane, in the
area “classica”, 550 metres above sea level.
Soil type: volcanic, mixed with alluvium and
debris, south east facing.
Tasting Description
Ruby red with touch of violet, great
density in the glass expresses good structure.
Pleasantly spicy with hints of red currants
and mature fruit.
Warm, soft, persistent with
hints of dried fruit which is reminiscent of
Amarone.
Grapes
Corvina Veronese 60%, Rondinella 10%
Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Merlot 10%
Withering in lofts for 35 days.
Food Pairings
It is a very versatile wine. It combines well with all grilled meats, game, roasts, and mature cheeses.
Production Method
Aged in barriques of French oak for 12
months.
Aged in the bottle for 6 months.
Aged in the bottle for 3 months.
Service
Serve at 17°-18° C taking care to open the bottle at least 1 hour prior to drinking.
