Situated near the town of Fumane, in the
area “classica”, 550 metres above sea level.
Soil type: volcanic, south west facing.
Tasting Description
Deep garnet red.
Airy, complex, with hints of vanilla which
suggest dried fruits.
Lasting, soft, creamy,
full of the scent of dried fruits.
Grapes
Corvina Veronese 75%, Rondinella 20%
Molinara 5%
Hand selected grapes harvested during the
last week of September.
Withering in lofts for 100 days.
Food Pairings
Traditionally combines well with game, grilled meat, roasts and mature cheeses. Can also be drunk on occasions when the conversation is at its most pleasant.
Production Method
Aged in large barrels for 24 months.
Aged in the bottle for 8 months.
Service
18°-19° C in large “ballon” glass, taking care to open the bottle at least 2 hours prior to drinking.
